We are retained by Holiday Extras and Airparks UK Ltd to provide advice on their portfolio of assets across the UK. Our work covers site search and promotion, development plan and application monitoring, representations and planning applications. The airport car parking aspect of our work requires significant knowledge of case law and is a technically demanding and complex area of planning.
Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)
Working alongside viability specialists, Williams Gallagher has acted for a variety of clients in relation to the setting of CIL rates including the submission of bespoke representations to local planning authorities. We also provide pre- and post-CIL planning advice to ensure our clients have a clear understanding of its impacts on viability and how these impacts can be minimised.
Permitted Development Rights
The opportunities afforded by permitted development rights have grown substantially under the current Government. The application of permitted development rights is however complex and requires a thorough understanding of the regulations. We have worked extensively with permitted development rights for our clients to streamline asset management techniques and in many cases reduce CIL liability. This can result in substantial cost savings and secure occupiers quickly where more traditional planning application routes would take too long and risk losing occupiers to competing developments.
Night Time Economy & Licensing
We have been advising the Institute of Licensing and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on how the planning and licensing regimes can be reformed to better protect and enhance the night-time economy.
