Major transformation for Highcross entrances

Williams Gallagher has secured planning permission to transform the shopping centre’s main entrances of East Gates, High Street, Church Gate, and New Bond Street, all of which are located within a conservation area.

The design was routed in inspiration from Leicester’s rich textile heritage and features concepts of a ‘runway’, curtain-style facades, and pleated surfaces. The improvements are set to enhance the wider townscape and improve connectivity, wayfinding, and the overall visitor experience. It will revitalise and modernise the centre’s frontage to strengthen the centre’s presence within Leicester to better reflect the significance of the shopping centre as a destination location.
