Williams Gallagher to Advise on Leicester Highcross

We are delighted to report that we have been appointed as town planning advisors to the owners of Highcross Shopping Centre. We will be working alongside our long term partner on this scheme, Ellandi - the UK’s leading delivery partner for investing in, transforming and managing retail and town centre space.

The 1,100,000 sqft Highcross Centre is anchored by John Lewis and has over 150 shops on two levels offering premium fashion, technology, beauty and homewares. There are also more than 30 F&B units including Wagamama, Pizza Express, Turtle Bay and Nando’s. Well-known occupiers also include Apple, Zara, Next, Reiss, H&M and a 12-screen Showcase Cinema de Lux. The Centre welcomes an annual footfall of 15.8 million.

Our role will be to advise on the planning implications of day to day asset management activities (such as changes of use and lawful development) alongside strategic development and refurbishment opportunities.

This latest instruction is a welcomed addition to our portfolio of shopping centres that we already advise on including Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Midsummer Place (Milton Keynes) and The Broadway (Bradford).
